Institute of Public Policy and Leadership (IPPL)

The Institute of Public Policy and Leadership (IPPL), established by KILA, launched on its newly developing campus at Karimbam, Thaliparamba, Kannur, Kerala, known as the International Centre for Leadership Studies Kerala. KILA –IPPL is affiliated to Kannur University. The Centre was formally inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan, who also laid the foundation stones for its upcoming facilities and infrastructure on 13th June 2022. The Government of Kerala has designated it as one of the Centres of Excellence. The campus is undergoing development according to a Master Plan, which includes international hostels, academic buildings, a library, and various other amenities. Additionally, an international stadium is in the process of development.

At IPPL, we are committed to fostering a new generation of leaders equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethical framework necessary to navigate the complexities of public policy, social entrepreneurship and local governance. Our institute serves as a hub of intellectual exchange and collaboration, bringing together policymakers, practitioners, scholars, and community leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue and problem-solving. In addition to the faculty members of the institute, the students of IPPL will benefit from lectures and guidance from a diverse group of academicians and practitioners from both national and international levels. The curriculum will include seminars, term papers, exposure visits, internship and field work as integral components of the courses. In addition, conferences and international seminars are also part of the IPPL’s academic activities. This initiative bridges the gap between academic learning and practical experience, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their future careers. Since its establishment, IPPL has been running two concurrent batches. It is with great pleasure to announce that all the students from the inaugural batch have successfully passed the university exams, as per the recently declared results. This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of both the students and the institute towards academic excellence.
